Heart attack signs and symptoms:
- Uncomfortable pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest lasting more than a few minutes
- Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck, arm or jaw
- Chest discomfort with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath
If you are a female, you might experience these symptoms or you may not. Several leading studies have shown that female heart attack symptoms usually include shortness of breath, weakness and unusual fatigue. Often, women don’t experience traditional chest pains. They may suffer from lower chest discomfort, back pain, nausea and dizziness.
If you have any of these heart attack symptoms, get help immediately by calling 911.
